Every policy your MGAs write, checked and ceded through your treaties.

Cork takes in each MGA's business, checks it against its binder, cedes each coverage through your treaties and tracks every amount owed, in one record you control.

The month today

  1. Each MGA's file, rekeyed. Every MGA sends its bordereau in its own layout, and your team rebuilds the book from it.
  2. Cessions worked out in spreadsheets. Each reinsurer's share, commission and statement is calculated by hand, away from the policies.
  3. Differences found at quarter-end. Balances age while the figures are agreed, and receipts sit unallocated until someone matches them.

With Cork, each MGA's business arrives checked, is ceded through your treaties when you bind it, and every amount names its source.

The cession

Your month, without the spreadsheet work.

1 · Oversight of each MGA

Know every MGA stays within its authority

Each coverage an MGA files is checked against the binder in force on its date: peril, limit, territory, risk period and premium income cap. A policy over the MGA's authority stays a draft until you raise it.

When an MGA asks to change a binder term, Cork shows you every policy the change would affect, and nothing changes until you approve it.

2 · Treaties read from their documents

Set up your treaties from the wording, not by hand

Drop the wordings, slips and addenda of several contracts at once. Cork sorts them into programmes and drafts each layer's terms with the clause behind it. A person on your team confirms them.

Then check any reinsurer's statement against the confirmed terms, line by line.

3 · Exposure in view

See what you keep and what each layer still protects.

Your retained limits, the protection left in each layer and each programme's aggregate used, by peril. Cork refuses a reinsurance bind that would pass a programme's or a layer's aggregate cap.

4 · Cash tracked to its source

Close each month on one statement per counterparty

Premium from each MGA, ceded premium to each reinsurer and each recovery carry their source and due date. A recovery books on the day of settlement.

Net what you owe against what you are owed, with each MGA and each reinsurer, and close the month with each of them on one statement.

5 · Reporting to your reinsurers

Send every reinsurer its cession report, in its own format

Each period, Cork prepares a cession report for each reinsurer from the policies you bound, with the layout and fields that reinsurer asks for. You set up each format once, and every report after that follows it.

When a reinsurer queries a figure, the answer comes straight from the record: the policy, the treaty clause and the calculation behind it.
